Oberon Clubs and Activities 2017-2018

G2 Coding Club   Students who are interested in coding to create apps, games, programs, and robotics. Join Mr. Waalkes and Ms. Ertelt for coding club every Wednesday during lunch hour. 

 TEDEd Club   If you want to share a great passion and also learn how to be a great public speaker, this is the club for you. We will be learning how to present speeches in a TED Talk manner. We will also be learning stop-motion videos and creating videos.  Join Ms. Ertelt and Mrs. Dockerty in the Libratory Tuesdays during lunch.

  Happy Thursday Bike Club  Bike Arvada's bike lanes, roads, and trails. Thursdays from 2:45pm-4:45pm (weather permitting). Bike for fun and fitness, learn basic bike maintenance, and have fun. Any Oberon student with a 3+ speed bike who is able to ride is eligible. 10 Rider Limit.

  Spikeball  This club starts Thursday, August 31. The club is open to all Oberon Students. It is Thursdays, from 2:20-3:30pm. Students will need to have transportation home. All participants must have a permission slip. Permission slips can be found in the Main Office.

  Weight Lifting Club  Learn how to life weights properly while having fun. Join Mrs. Yacobucci and Ms. Hines Tuesdays from 2:30-3pm in the weight room.

 RC and Robotics Club  Bring your RC or robot and show off your mad skills. Meet in Mr. Waalkes's classroom on Fridays 2:20-3 pm.

 OHS  Oberon Honor Society will meet monthly and, at times, weekly on Tuesdays from 2:20-3:00. OHS is sponsored by Mr. Fletcher and Ms. Talley. Twenty-five dollar fee to participate and students will be required to complete 40 hours of community service by mid-April. See Mr. Fletcher, Ms. Talley, or Mrs. Shotwell for additional information.
 Anime/Gaming/Fandom   Club  An after-school club conglomerate dedicated to having fun while exploring anime, video gaming, and fandoms! The club meets Fridays at 2:20pm in the Libratory. See Miss Rae or Mrs. Counterman for more information.
 Art Club  Art Club is designed to provide a fun, social environment for YOU to be creative! The club meets right after school and works with a variety of media throughout the year. We are meeting on Mondays, October 23-March 13, 2018 from 2:15- 3:15 pm.
